Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. Her early years were shaped by Boleros, classical music and the traditional romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as drama and opera. She began singing and learning the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive singing training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well as a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups as well as choruses. Following her move into America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local initiatives and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana is also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially in the younger generations to keep this tradition vibrant.
